Our thoughts and prayers are with @sacsheriff and the families of the deputy and his K9 partner who lost their lives and to the deputy who is on the road to recovery.

Last night, on Monday, January 18th, a Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputy and his K-9 were both shot and killed following a vehicle pursuit and shoot-out with a now-deceased parolee. A second deputy was also shot, but is expected to survive.

The Deputy who lost his life was a 6-year veteran of the department. He leaves behind his wife and infant child.

May you and your K9 partner Rest in Peace.
