The West Covina Police Department
Community Academy
The purpose of the Community Academy at the West Covina Police Department is to strengthen the relationship between the police and the community by providing residents with a deeper understanding of law enforcement operations. Through a series of interactive classes and hands-on experiences, participants learn about various aspects of policing, including patrol procedures, investigations, traffic enforcement, and community outreach. The program aims to promote transparency, build trust, and encourage open communication between citizens and officers. By educating the public on the challenges and responsibilities of modern policing, the Community Academy empowers community members to become informed advocates and partners in public safety.
